‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Is Now One Of The Best Reviewed Games Of All Time

Reviews in Metacritic now has Breath Of The Wild as its fourth highest-rated in history, ahead of Grand Theft Auto IV, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and ironicly, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a hit with critics,  the Switch title is now one of the best-reviewed games ever released.

Over the course of the past day, it’s been tough to miss the nearly endless array of perfect scores rolling in for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s hard to imagine a better boost the Nintendo Switch could have at launch, but many may not realize just how wellBreath of the Wild is reviewing from a historical perspective.

Metacritic’s scoring has it at 9.8 with a user rating of 7.8 based on 1,297 ratings so far, that’s one of the highest ever scores recorded by the site.

We’ve posted the Top 10 list from the aggregation site for you below, According to Metacritic, the top ten games are:

  2. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 (PlayStation)
  3. Grand Theft Auto 4 (PS3)
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
  5. SoulCalibur (Dreamcast)
  6. Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360)
  7. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
  8. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
  9. Grand Theft Auto 5 (Xbox One)
  10. Grand Theft Auto 5 (PS3)

There are still a few outlets that have yet to be tabulated by Metacritic, so the ranking may move up or down in the next few days, but Breath of the Wild already ranks among the best-reviewed games in the industry’s history,
